Mounting Moulds
Mounting moulds can be used with all cold mounting resins, of which there are three different types:
- KM Acrylic Resin Mould with detachable aluminium base. Non-reusable.
- Teflon reusable with detachable base.
- Rubber one piece (reusable).

Cold Mounting Resin Systems 
For use when speed and ease are required; especially for high volume production. Also for samples that are easily damaged by heat and pressure generated in compression mounting systems.
Acrylic resins are supplied separately and in two-part kits consisting of powder and liquid. Polymerisation takes place at around 75ºC which will not alter most specimens.
Epoxy VLT and Polyester PLT are totally transparent resins which cure at ambient temperature. Kits contain liquid resin and liquid catalyst.
Epoxy VLS is a totally transparent resin which requires a vacuum oven to cure. Kits contain liquid resin and a liquid catalyst.
Acrylic CLB is for conductive mounts for delicate samples.

Hot Mounting Systems (Requires Hot Mounting Press)
Hot embedding resins are extremely hard, acid-resistant and low-skrinkage.
They reduce sweating and guarantee clean edges when polishing. Hot embedding resins are available in powder form and are divided into two categories.
- Thermoresistant (Phenolic or Allylic).
- Thermoplastic (Acrylic or Epoxy).
