Axioskop 40 Pol microscope for polished specimens

Axioskop 40 Pol is the perfect choice for all polarizing and materials microscopy applications such as geology, mineralogy, materials testing, materials research or other fields.
The 6 position centring nosepiece, with a position for reflected light darkfield and DIC, allows the Axioskop 40 Pol to save the time-consuming changing of objectives – for example, when you want to change between reflected and transmitted light. A crucial advantage that allows highly efficient work – and a unique feature in this category of microscopes.
No other polarizing microscope in this class offers you five reflector places. For Brightfield, Darkfield, Pol, C-DIC and transmitted light POL. The P&C (Push and Click) modules can be changed quickly and easily without any tools. The Axioskop 40 POL reflector includes a proprietary "Light Trap" that is designed to eliminate stray light from the reflector module giving a class winning improvement in image contrast. contrast.
Axioskop 40 Pol is the first polarizing microscope that enables the use of an innovative contrasting technique: C-DIC. Similar to the circular polarizer this technique also works with circularly polarized light. C-DIC works with the newly designed EC Epiplan-Neofluars using a slider fitted into the compensator slot. There are two sliders available, one for 5x, 10x and 20x magnifications and the other for 50x and 100x. Optimum contrast is attained simply by turning the knurled ring as opposed to rotating the specimen stage.
• Powerful polarisation and materials microscope
• Transmitted light or combined transmitted / reflected light microscope
• Integrated digital imaging system
• 6 position centering nosepiece and 5 position reflector turret for all established contrasting techniques
• Time tested Carl Zeiss optics in all range of objectives
• Modular construction
• Easily retrofittable (Eg with conscopy or fluorescence modules)

Axio Scope.A1 for polished specimens

The Axio Scope is a versatile microscope. Modular, flexible in every component, universally applicable and yet individually tailored to your applications. Economical in every configuration because you only buy what you need today. Later upgrades to meet your growing demands are possible at any time. Five upper parts, three lower parts and two Vario columns enable you to configure your microscope as required. For simple or more complex demands. For transmitted light, reflected light, or both. A decisive advantage: you no longer invest in features you do not use.
Choose your reflector turret or slider depending on the application. Flexible, fast and easy. No matter whether you choose the 2x slider, the 4x or 6x reflector turret, the Push&Click mechanism allows easy change of the optical components which are stored safely in a dust-free environment
The 6x reflector turret offers sufficient free positions for: reflected-light: brightfield, darkfield, polarization and C-DIC and transmitted-light: brightfield and polarization.
More space: samples only a few µm thick up to 380 mm high.
The flexible materials microscope provides ample space for exceptionally large samples. Depending on the configuration, the size of the sample area can be scaled according to your needs.
As an alternative to the lower parts, the 380 mm or 560 mm Axio Scope Vario columns are available for your reflected-light applications.
- Multiple stand combinations
- Numerous interfaces allow exact adaptation to requirements and budget
- Economical upgrading – Many components can be easily added
- PlasDIXC and C-DIC
- Variety of reflector inserts (2x slide, 4x reflector turret, 6x reflector turret)
- EC Epiplan objectives
- Intensity adjustment – Intensity setting of illumination is arranged on both sides
- Stage carrier can be easily lowered without tools
- Can be used with AxioVision microscope software

AxioVision
AxioVision is the imaging software for metallurgical microscopy and reliable documentation in materials science.
Whether you are a modern metallurgist or an expert for steel microstructure analysis - AxioVision will guide you directly to reliable results with the help of well structured and comprehensible workflows. Use digital segmentation and measurement tools to investigate the relationship between the structure of materials or analyze their properties. With this software you can directly control important microscope components like cameras, shutter wheels or objective turrets. And only with our software it is possible to benefit of the Carl Zeiss ZVI image. This file format was developed specifically for the needs of scientific and routine microscopy. Images are saved uncompressed or with a loss-free wavelet algorithm. In contrast to generic file formats like TIF or JPEG, additional data like scale bars or intensity values is stored with the image. Link comments or measurements to your images and present your data to colleagues in impressive presentations. AxioVision expands to meet your needs with a constantly increasing number of different modules for metallurgy and materials analysis applications.
